on behalf of the peoples and Government of the Colony and Protectorate
of Kenya our humble duty and heartfelt congratulations on the occasion
of Your Mayjesty’s Coronation.

     | EE, in this Colony and Protectorate look upon the days of Your
Majesty’s visit to Kenya with H.R.H. the Duke of Edinburgh as the
greatest honour that has been bestowed upon the territory. Many
thousands of all races were inspired by Your Majesty’s presence, and to —
their feelings of loyal devotion were added those of abiding affection
andpersonal regard. It is our earnest hope that before long Your Majesty
and His Royal Highness may once again fnd it possible to visitus.

     The peoples of this Colony and Protectorate fervently pray that
Almighty God will grant to Your Majesty many years of peace and >
happiness and that Your Majesty’s reign may be marked not only by
material prosperity but also by its spiritual achievements.
