                         (No. 15 of2011)                                                VACANCYIN THE OFFICE OF THE SPEAKER
                                                                                             OF THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY
                          APPOINTMENT
                                                                              IT IS NOTIFIED for the information of the general public that
    IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 11 (6) of the          pursuant to Article 106 of the Constitution and Standing Order 5 of the
National Gender and Equality Commission Act, 2011, as read with           National Assembly Standing Orders, the Office of the Speaker of the
section (9) of the Act, I, Mwai Kibaki, President and Commander-in-       National Assembly shall become vacant upon the first sitting of the

                                                                              Pursuant to Article 126 (2) of the Constitution, His Excellency the

                                                                          Kenya Defence Forces has vide Legal Notice No. 55 of 2013, notified
                                                                          that the first sitting of the National Assembly shall be held at the main
                                                                          Parliament Buildings, Nairobi, on Thursday, 28th March, 2013, at 9.00
