PUBLICATION OF POLITICAL PARTY AND ORGANISATION LISTS OF DULY
NOMINATED AND DECLARED CANDIDATES IN RESPECT OF GENERAL ELECTION
FOR LOCAL AUTHORITY COUNCILS: ELECTORAL ACT, 2014
In terms of subsection (1) of section 87 of the Electoral Act, 2014 (Act No. 5 of 2014), it is made
known that -
(a) the political parties and organisations registered in respect of the general election for the
members of local authority councils are listed in column 2 of the Schedule; and
(b) the persons whose particulars are referred to in paragraph (b) of that subsection and listed
in column 3 of the Schedule, are declared as duly nominated candidates of the registered
political party or registered organisations contemplated in paragraph (a) in respect of the
general elections for the local authority councils listed in column 1of the Schedule.
