                              Her Majesty’s Most Horiourable Privy Council, Governor-General and Com-
                              mander-in-Chiefof the Federation of Nigeria.         :

         - (Wares undertheprovisions of section 63 of the Constitution of the Federation the Governor-General
     is empowered to prorogue Parliament:               ::
:        INOW, THEREFORE, in,exercise of the powers vested in me bysection 63 of the Constitution of the Federa-
    tion, I, Nnampr Azixtwe, Member of Her Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council, Governor-General
     and Commander-in-Chief of the Federation of Nigeria, Procuatm and Decrare that with effect from the
"22ndday of March, 1961, Parliamentis hereby prorogued.

    is empowered to appoint a place and time for each session of Parliament:                              -
          AND WHEREAS it is expedient and necessary thatParliament shall be convened :
        Now, THEREFORE, I, NNaMDI AZIKIWE, Member of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council,
    Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief of the Federation of Nigeria, in exercise of the powers in that
