National Premium Bonds (Amendment) Regulations 1965

In exercise of the powers conferred by subsection (3) of section 1 of the -
Savings Bonds and Certificates Act, 1962 andof all cther powers enabling me
in that behalf, I hereby makethe following regulations— °
1. (1)—These regulations may becited’ as The National Premium Bonds Citation,
(Amendtitent) Regulations 1965. application
and
(2) ‘These regulations shall apply throughout the Federation and shall commence-
comeinto operation on the 1st day of December 1965. ment. ~
2. Regulation 3 of the National Premium Bonds Regulations 1963 is Amendment
hereby amended as follows— of regula-
tion 3.
(i) bythe insertion after the word “and” whereit appears in subsection
(2) of the word “‘at”’. ,
(77) by the addition of the following new subparagraph—
“3 (2) (a) Bonds mayalso be purchased from any person appointed
_to be a sales agent by the Director.”

3. Regulation 26 of the National Premium Bonds Regulations 1963 is Amendment
hereby amendedas follows— : of regula-
tion 26.
(i) by thedeletion of the word “and” where it appears in paragraph(a)
(a) by renumbering regulation “26 (b)” as regulation ‘26 (c)”, and by.
the deletion therefrom of the word “‘for’’.
(zit) by the addition of the following new subparagraph—
‘(b) subject to the approval of the Minister conditiohs relating to
the appointment, reappointment and dismissal of sales agents ; and”

These regulations make provision for Premium Bonds
to be purchased
from sales agents and for the Director of Posts and Telegraphs
